About the Board of Medicine

What is a Medical Board?
	The Idaho State Medical Board's primary responsibility and obligation is to protect patients through proper licensing and regulation of physicians and other health care professionals. Board Membership is composed of volunteers who are charged with upholding the Idaho Medical Practice Act. You can learn more about medical boards from the Federation of State Medical Boards, a national non-profit association with membership consisting of 70 medical licensing authorities.
